Damned Souls
Mixed media on paper
20 x 20 cm
In Adel Dauood’s art figurative elements flow into abstract ones. His art is both fantastical and realistic, abstract and concrete. His small format works on paper are home to fabulous beasts: dangerous yet friendly, they inhabit the roughened paper plane with their long entwined legs, pointed teeth and numerous eyes. Are they memories from the past, artifacts from the present or fearful images of the future?
